High Concept

A silent mechanical entity — an intricate clockwork heart — undergoes a sensory awakening. Through tactile explorations of chrome, rust, velvet, and steam, each material triggers fleeting 8mm-style fragments of a human childhood. The narrative culminates as the gears align perfectly to recreate a single memory: the warmth of a hand holding another hand in the late afternoon sun. A machine searching for its soul through the debris of human sensation.

Narrative Flow (Beat Sheet)

1

The Cold Routine

Extreme close-up of the Heart's brass and gunmetal gears. Clinical, harsh blue light. The amber filament is dim, almost grey.

2

The Hit — Grit

The chrome stylus drags across rusted iron grit. Jagged crystalline shards. A faint orange glow begins to emanate from the Heart.

3

The Memory — Playground

8mm flash: a child's feet in a sandbox. Golden sand, massive lens flare. Nostalgic, hazy, jittery.

4

The Probe — Velvet

The stylus presses into dark red velvet. Individual fibers bend under metal. The amber filament is now visibly pulsing.

5

The Flash — The Hand

Clear 8mm sequence: two hands clasping in a field of tall grass. Ethereal god rays. The sun is a white-hot circle.

6

The New Pulse

Same gears, transformed. Amber glow is now the primary light. Soft-focus "tactile light." The heart breathes — alive.
