Assembly Method

Used the No Timeline Shift concat approach per branding-spec.md:

  1. Rendered main film from timeline.json (249s, 6 tracks, 96 clips)
  2. Applied fades to branding clips (title: 1.5s/1.5s, credits: 2.0s/2.0s)
  3. Concatenated: title + rough cut + credits via genmedia-assemble concat

Ducking: sidechaincompress ratio=5.0, attack=15ms, release=300ms, triggered by “voice” role (VO + DLG tracks).

Known Trade-offs

  1. No score during title card: The concat approach means Movement I begins at the start of the rough cut body (0:08), not during the title card. The branding spec’s “3.5s of music establishing before first visual” was sacrificed for assembly reliability.
  2. Title card is silent: 8s of silence with fade-in/fade-out text before the film begins. This creates a theatrical “curtain up” feel.
  3. Within-scene cuts are hard cuts: The 0.083s micro-crossfade prevents frame-tearing but is not a visible dissolve. This matches Anderson’s editing style (precise, deliberate cuts).
