Charcoal vest, ebony cane, clouded cataract eyes. The world is a map of sound.
Clara Sterling (The Woman)
Pale, translucent skin. High-collared white nightdress. Bird-like, twitchy grace. A silhouette emerging from shadows.

Storyboard
Start/End frame pairs for all 28 shots across 6 scenes.
Scene 1: The Arrival
Arthur stands at the iron gates, back to camera. The house looms in the fog.
Arthur's hand touches the rusted iron. Sound of rusted metal groan.
Dead ivy curling around a rusted gate hinge, drops of moisture.
Arthur walking up the gravel driveway. Metronomic cane tapping.
His clouded eyes track a sound we can't hear.
Scene 2: The Checkered Path
Arthur's cane tip taps across checkered marble. Dramatic shadows.
Sterling's glasses reflect light as white circles.
A pale silhouette flits across the background reflection.
Arthur stops, head cocked. "I am here for the Bechstein."
Scene 3: The First Pass
Arthur at the gleaming black piano. Banker's lamp pool of light.
Piano hammer striking a copper-wound string.
Arthur strikes the key with deliberation.
Sharp mechanical CLICK from the fireplace.
A puff of dust from the gargoyle's mouth. "The house was tuned."
Arthur strikes D, D-sharp, E. Distant chandelier rattles.
Arthur fascinated, not afraid. Clock ticking intensifies.
Scene 4: The Third Key
Arthur's finger presses the key. It goes down slower.
The wall grinds open. Dust billows into moonlight.
Head tilted, listening after the wall opens.
Clara stands in the dark opening. "You play the song well."
Scene 5: The Harmony of Escape
Sterling pounding on the iron grate. "Stop the music!"
Arthur's hands flying across the keys in dissonant melody.
Clara grabs Arthur's arm. "The last key. Under the fallboard."
Scene 6: The Final Resolution
Arthur pulls the lever under the fallboard. Strings snap.
Piano strings whipping and snapping.
Stone wall cracking, dust exploding.
Chandelier swaying and falling towards camera.
Arthur adjusting his pocket watch on the gravel.
A slight smile. "The world was loud. And for the first time, it was enough."
