Character Sheets: The Midnight Audit
Character 1: Stanton (The Stapler)
- Role: The self-appointed Desk Manager, veteran.
- Physical Description: A heavy, vintage, all-black metal stapler. His edges are worn down to the silver under-metal. He looks like a piece of heavy industrial machinery shrunk down to desk size. He has no face or eyes; emotion is conveyed entirely through his rigid, tank-like posture and the angle of his heavy “jaw.”
- Style/Material: Claymation. Rough, matte black finish with metallic silver scratches.
- Scale: The largest and heaviest of the main trio.
Character 2: Clippy (The Paperclip)
- Role: The anxious Intern.
- Physical Description: A standard silver paperclip. His wire is bent slightly out of its perfect uniform shape to create two uneven loops that function as wildly expressive, asymmetrical “eyes.” He looks flimsy, delicate, and constantly vibrating with anxiety.
- Style/Material: Claymation. Metallic silver wire, slightly tarnished.
- Scale: Small, thin, and fragile.
Character 3: Highlighter (The Yellow Highlighter)
- Role: The cynical veteran who does the bare minimum.
- Physical Description: A chunky, bright yellow marker. He is missing his cap, revealing a slightly dried-out yellow felt tip. His body is scuffed and matte. He radiates laziness and indifference. No face; he “looks” by pointing his capless tip at things.
- Style/Material: Claymation. Bright, toxic neon yellow with a dull plastic texture on the body.
- Scale: Medium. Taller than Clippy, but much lighter and less imposing than Stanton.
Character 4: The Boss (The Human Hand)
- Role: The unpredictable apex predator.
- Physical Description: A massive, hyper-realistic, fleshy human hand. We never see the rest of the body. The hand moves with terrifying speed and purpose, completely oblivious to the micro-drama of the desk supplies.
- Style/Material: Claymation, but with an uncanny, slightly grotesque level of fleshy realism compared to the simpler geometric shapes of the office supplies.
- Scale: Gigantic. A single finger is the size of Stanton.
