Characters
Three office supply protagonists. 15 total reference images. A stapler who thinks he's a general, a paperclip intern, and a cynical highlighter.
Stanton (The Stapler)
Self-appointed Desk Manager. Heavy, vintage, all-black metal stapler. Chipped edges. Speaks in booming corporate jargon. Fears obsolescence.
Clippy (The Paperclip)
The Intern. Standard silver paperclip with bent-wire "eyes." Trembles constantly. Desperate to prove his worth.
Highlighter (The Yellow Highlighter)
The Cynical Veteran. Chunky, bright yellow, faded chewed cap. Has seen it all. "I just make things yellow."
Location References
Two master settings: the chaotic desk micro-world and the moody interview backdrop.
Storyboard
Start/End frame pairs for all 28 shots across 5 acts. Includes sub-shots (01a, 09a/09b/09c, 10b/10c, 12b).
Act 1: The Gathering Storm
Slow glide over the chaotic desk. Dust motes, coffee rings, paper stacks.
Camera glides past The Monolith (monitor) and the Vault of Forgotten Souls (drawer).
Extreme close-up. Half in shadow. "I'm the Chief Operational Organizer."
Clippy frantically organizing Post-Its, slipping in adhesive.
"What if I lose my tension? Does health insurance cover that?"
"I just stay in my lane. I make words yellow. That's it."
Act 2: The Discovery of the Anomaly
Low angle tracking. Stanton across the Plains of Clack (keyboard).
Dramatic snap-zoom to takeout menus overhanging the desk edge.
"Unbound. We have a Category 5 operational failure."
Stanton briefs Clippy in the monitor shadow. "Rapid-response binding solution."
"I bleed neon yellow. You have got the wrong demographic."
Stanton turns to Clippy. "It is just you and me, kid."
Act 3: The Futile Mobilization
Clippy attempts to clamp paper. Violently slips off.
Clippy slides across the desk and tumbles into a coffee ring.
"Tighten your core! You are a binding solution, not a decorative accessory!"
"I'm literally hollow space surrounded by metal."
Stanton tries to staple the inch-thick stack. Jaw can't open wide enough.
Wide shot. "Sunday night fell. The menus remained unsecured."
"Forty pages. That's my spec. I'm just... standard."
Act 4: The Crisis & the Leap of Faith
Wind hits desk. Luigi's Pizza menu begins to slide. "Structural failure!"
Ultra-slow motion. Clippy sprints, leaps over keyboard gap.
Clippy lands on sliding menus. Wire body bows under pressure.
Act 5: The Resolution
The Human Hand descends, grabs Highlighter, exits frame.
"We demonstrated robust operational readiness. Yes. We won."
"Told you. I just make things yellow."
"Do paperclips get PTO? Because I think I'm stuck here."
Ultra-wide. A rubber band rolls across the empty desk. Fade to black.
Audio Design
21 voice/dialogue stems, 4 score tracks, and rich diegetic audio from Veo 3.1 dailies.
VO Stems
Stanton's grizzled war-veteran narration. "They call it the Friday night shift. To the uninitiated, it's just darkness."
Character Dialogue
Stanton (12), Clippy (3), Highlighter (3). All delivered with deadpan sincerity. Compound audio for multi-character shots.
4 Score Tracks
Act 1-2 Opening, Act 3 Montage, Act 4 Climax, Act 5 Resolution. Tense mock-orchestral swells against awkward interview silence.
Veo 3.1 Native Audio
Metallic stapler thuds, tiny paperclip clinks, HVAC hurricane roar, keyboard clacking, paper rustling.
